December 10, 2012

Monday, December 3, 2012 – Today, can’t really remember what happened on this day.

Tuesday, December 4, 2012 – Today, had a long chat with Ps. Lim in the morning; much things to prepare for that are taking place this weekend, Christmas Parade, and Ps. Isaac Yim’s visit this coming weekend.  Afternoon, had some people come in to do some preparation for the Christmas parade; mainly candle holders, and sticking some more stickers for the tracts.  I had to drop by the SUPP center to get signature for some documents.  Night, YA CG, we worked on some filming.

Wednesday, December 5, 2012 – Today, nothing much took place, except some of the helpers from yesterday came again to continue work with the candle holders and tracts.  Meanwhile, I had to attend the final Christmas committee meeting at the MCC.  Evening, bro. Franco was in to work on the grass, soon the two maids came to help with cleaning up the church.  Prayer service tonight went as usual, with sis. Sai Liong leading.

Thursday, December 6, 2012 – Today, I got some of the boys to come in early to help with the banners to be used at the parade, hanging the banners on poles, and hooking up lamps to lit up the banners (the parade will take place at night).  They were done in the afternoon.

Friday, December 7, 2012 – Morning, had a meet up with Ps. Lim, going through any more preparations for the weekend.  Took my morning til noon to compete the briefing slides for tonight’s briefing and rehearsals for the parade.  That night, the briefing took place with our church members, followed by marching practice at our front compound.

Saturday, December 8, 2012 – Late morning, I visited the shops to have batches of Christmas carol books printed, along with the Sunday Bulletin.  Back at church, bro. Fui Fook had worship practice with his team that combined with some of the singers from the Mandarin ministry.  Shortly after his team, bro. Daniel came with his band to have some last minute practice for their performance tonight at the parade.  3.30pm, I drove the church van, packed with our belongings we using for the parade, to the venue, Miri City Fan.

CHRISTMAS PARADE 2012

It drizzled and rained lightly throughout the evening and even at night, but the churches continue to gather and the venue got noisier and more crowded as the night approached.  There was some confusion and frustration as the churches marched in line from the starting point, but eventually we got on the way.  It took about an hour from when we got started before we completed the route and reached back at the City Fan.  Praise God, as we marched, the rain ceased, only to continue again when we got back at the park.  An hour or so later, 10am, bro. Daniel’s band finally got on stage to do worship.

Sunday, December 9, 2012 – Service went as usual today; morning prayer by Ps. Lim, worship led by bro. Fui Fook, message delivered by Ps. Isaac Yim, followed by the installation of our elders and ordaining of them and our pastor.  After the service, we had lunch fellowship downstairs.  I am not aware of anything taking place at the church in the afternoon onwards.
